With the theme “Revitalization of Historic Building”, participants will have a chance to experience real situation that each team shall propose an innovative and viable revitalization plan for the heritage revitalization partner of MEP XIX – The Warehouse Teenage Club (Former Aberdeen Police Station which is a Grade II Historic Building).

Remarks: The copyright of each submission will rest with its authors subject to the Organizer retaining the right to use the submissions for promotion and operation within 3 years (from the end date of MEP XIX); The winning teams may be invited by organizers for further putting their proposals into practice on site.

Essential elements

Do you know your business proposal must contain the element of youth (who can be service clients or service providers), and at the same time preserve the historical and cultural significance of the buildings? Watch our video for some inspirations!

Eligibility

  • The competition is open to S.4 – S.6 students in a team format. Each team shall consist of 4 to 6 students and a Team Advisor. The Team Advisor could be a teacher or a staff-in-charge.
  • The team must be nominated by the school or organization.
  • A teacher or staff-in-charge must be assigned as a Team Advisor in each team.

Mode of competition​

  • Each team shall submit a proposal on this year theme and pitch to the judges at the final competition.
  • In order to facilitate students to better equip in the business proposal writing, talks, workshops and organization visits will be conducted throughout the programme.
  • Each team must attend the visit to “Warehouse” once.

Proposal format

Each team must submit MEP Business Proposal Form which could be written in English or Chinese. All proposals should be submitted in PDF format electronically.
